 When blooming lavender in Provence?

The lavender in the Provence blooms from around the last week of June to the beginning of August when it is harvested. It is usually at its peak in early July, but this depends on the rainfall in the year.

If you want to see sunflowers and lavender together, sunflowers are in full colour in July-August.

Лаванда в Провансе цветет с последней недели июня до начала августа, после этого проходит сбор урожая. Как правило пик цветения - в начале июля, но это зависит от количества осадков в год.

Если вы хотите увидеть подсолнухи и лаванду одновременно, то подсолнечник находятся в полном цветении в июле-августе.

June 11, 1910, was born the famous French ocean explorer, photographer, filmmaker, inventor, author of numerous books and films, Jacques-Yves Cousteau. He co-developed the Aqua-Lung, pioneered marine conservation and was a member of the Académie française.

Spectacular start of the spring 2013

More than seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths will make a spectacularly British display at the largest spring garden in the world.
The 80-acre exhibition near the town of Lisse, south-west of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, known as Keukenhof, is described as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
This year the theme is 'The United Kingdom - Land of Great Gardens'.

Keukenhof - also known as the Garden of Europe - is the world's largest flower garden and has exhibited every spring for 64 years. 
This year it was decided to dedicate the garden to the UK, raise attention to the significance Britain as a gardening nation and as an export market for flower bulbs.

The Juliana Pavilion will house the exhibition 'My Great Garden', showing the various aspects of British gardening and landscaping. Pictures, light, sound and setting will result in a striking experience, organisers say.
Some 70,000 British tourists are estimated to have passed through Keukenhof's gates last year.
In addition to over 32 hectares of flowers, the spring garden offers 30 inspiring flower shows, seven amazing inspirational gardens and 100 wonderful works of art curated by Dutch artist Ansèl Sandberg.

Keukenhof, which means kitchen garden in Dutch, is situated on 15th century hunting grounds which also served as a source of herbs for Jacqueline, Countess of Hainaut's castle.
The garden was established in 1949 to present a flower exhibit where growers from all over the Netherlands and Europe could show off their hybrids – and help the Dutch export industry. 
The Netherlands, known for its tulips, is the world's largest exporter of flowers.
Keukenhof has been the world's largest flower garden for over fifty years. It opened to the public on March 21 and continues for eight weeks.

32 гектара весеннего сада предлагает: 30 вдохновляющих выставок цветов, семь удивительных садов и 100 замечательные произведений искусства. Сочетание визуального искусства, света и звука приведет к поразительным результатам, говорит один из организаторов выставки и ее куратор, голландский художник Ансель Сандберг.

Кекенхоф, что на голландском языке означает - огород , расположен в охотничьих угодьях 15-го века.

Tuesday, April 16, at the Crimea near Koktebel was a storm on the salt lake.

According to local media, on the outskirts of the village of Koktebel between the resort and the mountain Klementieva (Uzun Sirt) in the valley of the wind picked up a cloud of dried salt from the salt lake and it blew through the valley.

Шторм около шести баллов в Черном и Азовском морях, который начался 16 апреля и продолжается до сих пор, уже нанес значительный ущерб прибрежным городам Крыма.

17-18 апреля на полуострове будет дуть северо-восточный ветер, иногда  порывы до 30 м / с.

Высота волн в Черном море может  достигать 4 м.

Вторник, 16 апреля, в Крыму возле Коктебеля был отмечен солевой шторм.

По данным местных СМИ, на окраине поселка Коктебель, между курортом и горой Клементьева (Узун-Сырт) ветер поднял облако сухой соли из соленого озера, и унес через долину.
